Viking Festival at Slane Castle
Experience history as never before on the 18th and 19th of May 2024 when the Boyne Valley Viking Experience returns to Slane Castle. With spectacular battles, skilled medieval craft artists, full size Viking longboats on the Boyne, medieval music and much more, several hundred Viking re-enactors from all over Europe are looking forward to welcome and entertain you. For a whole weekend the quaint grounds of Slane Castle turn into a busy medieval village with many things to see and explore.

Boyne Music Festival pre-concert Dinner at Slane Castle
Prior to the evening concert on July 26th in the iconic Ballroom of Slane Castle, the BMF welcomes guests to an elegant dinner in the Gandon Room. The 4-course set meal will be an opportunity to experience fine local cuisine in a unique historic setting. Tickets to the evening concert must be booked separately through the BMF website.

Boyne Music Festival Concert at Slane Castle
We are delighted to host the Boyne Music Festival for an evening concert in our iconic Gothic Ballroom of Slane Castle. The evening will feature chamber music for voice and strings that take us on a journey from the Baroque period to the present day. We also have planned a very special gala dinner here at Slane Castle to celebrate the event, which can be booked separately. This concert kicks off Boyne Music Festival’s four days of concerts, workshops, tours and more in the heart of the Boyne Valley from 25 - 28 July.

Heritage Week Exclusive – St. Erc’s Hermitage Walk
Slane and its environs are rich in early Christian heritage and Slane Castle Estate conceals many treasures within its 1500 acres. One of these is St. Erc’s Hermitage and a special guided Heritage Walk will run during Heritage Week, Saturday 17th to Sunday 25th August.
