Slane Castle, situated in a dramatic setting by the river Boyne, is one of the most exciting buildings architecturally in Ireland. Home to the Conyngham family since 1703, the historical tours cover the family’s colourful history and stories about the world-famous rock concerts.

We provide guided historical tours throughout the Castle which will give you an opportunity to learn about the Conyngham Family, the history of the building and all about the concerts that have been held at the venue over the years.

Private Guided Tours

Guests can enjoy an informative private tour of the Castle which was built in 1785 and principally the work of three famous architects; James Wyatt, James Gandon & Francis Johnston.

Tour Duration: 1 Hour
Pricing: €150 for up 6 guests (minimum flat fee), with the 7th guest & above at the reduced rate of €12.50 per person.
Max per tour: 25 people
Booking: Private groups must pre-book 1 week in advance. Subject to tour guide availability.

St. Erc’s Hermitage Walk
