Slane Whiskey & Castle History
The taste
a small batch, premium blend...
line

Slane Castle Whiskey is blend of Irish Single Malt and Grain whiskeys matured for at least four years in first fill ex-bourbon American oak casks. It has a soft, subtle and delicately sweet flavour with a long malty finish. To really understand the taste we suggest you get hold of glass of Slane Castle Whiskey yourself and here are some tasting notes to guide you.

Nose:

The nose is sweet, light, a hint of malt, some spice, wood flavour and a little citrus/tangy orange, honey and vanilla. Clean, and well balanced.

Taste:

Smooth malty and sweet to start, good balance and body with the grain coming through gently ending with a tingle of honey and citrus fruit.

Finish:

The finish is sweet slightly dry, malt, and oak like. It goes on and on tapering to a pleasing slightly dry coating in the mouth.
