Slane Castle to build Distillery

We as the Conyngham family are delighted to announce that we will be building our very own craft distillery onsite at Slane Castle. This project comes after we had to withdraw our award winning whiskey blend from the market after losing our whiskey supply in early 2012.

Not ones to take this blow lying down, me and my father, Henry Conyngham, embarked on a mission to create our own Irish whiskey distillery. A planning application for the distillery has been lodged and we expect to start construction before the end of 2013.

The Slane Castle distillery will focus on producing top grade Triple Distilled Single Malt and Pure Pot Still whiskeys from the estate’s own barley which is grown on the fields surrounding the distillery.

Keep an eye out here for further updates and thank you for supporting us in this project.

Alex, Earl of Mount Charles
