Slane Castle was one of the first venues in Ireland to be granted a license and to hold a civil ceremony in June 2008, since then we have made many more Civil Ceremony dream weddings come true for our couples. Slane Castle is a stunning venue to hold either your civil ceremony or civil partnership and wedding reception in the one place.

A choice of stunning rooms within the castle combines to create the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony and celebrations. From your initial enquiry, to the great day itself, our service is tailored to meet your specific wishes and ensure that your wedding day is perfect.

June 6th 2008 saw the first ever Civil Wedding ceremony performed in Burton Hall, Slane Castle. The couple, Julie Lyles and Frank McKevitt, were delighted to make history within the walls of the eighteen century castle. Guests flew to Dublin from as far as Texas to attend the wedding and were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic day of sunshine they received. The couple themselves couldn’t have been happier with the outcome of their special day.

As the new legislation is now in place we are very much looking forward to hosting our very first civil partnership in 2011.
